Viva Las Vegas, a place that has everything for anyone

Luxury like you never seen before at Wynn Encore hotel

Back to civilization with a bang in Las Vegas, Nevada. Spent first 2 nights in the nearby town of Henderson and 3 nights on the strip. Needed to rest ourselves after that 9 day national park tour. Staying in Henderson, was cheaper since we arrived in Vegas on the weekend. The three nights we stayed on the strip was split 2 nights at the Hooters Hotel and last night at Stratosphere Hotel.

How did we do on the tables you ask? while I didn’t play but Ji tried her luck and lost $10 dollars playing the wheel of luck. We were more interested in the hotels, shows and of course the all you can eat buffets. Vegas is home to some of the largest and extravagant hotels in the world. Of all the hotels we saw the most luxurious was the Wynn a close runner up would have to be the Bellagio with its botanical gardens and the Venetian and its italian gondola.

Perhaps just as famous as the gambling in Vegas are the larger than life shows. Cirque du soleil had 7 different shows running, Broadway shows like the Lion king, Live music Cher, and tones of burlesque shows. We saw the longest running Cirque de soleil show Mystere, we got cheaper tickets at Tix 4 on the strip the show itself was an 1.5 hour of dance, gymnastics, lights, music and comedy. We enjoyed it.

If shows are not your thing the hotels will amaze you. We spent most of our days walking the strip and strolling around the mega hotels. Each hotel has its own free unique draw, Treasure Island sexy sirens and their pirate show, MGM grand with its lion habitat, and Mirages Volcano show but we found the best was the stunning water show infront of the Bellagio all these show were free.

We tried 2 buffet feast from Paris hotel that featured fine french cuisine but the my favorite was the dessert and I noticed a table of young girls that seemed to only eat the rich desserts. Second buffet we indulged ourselves at the Wynn international buffet. Ji, liked the Paris buffet and I would have picked Wynn if I didn’t get sick.

Another interesting place to see was the Old Fremont area with good cheap casino food, and lots of interesting locals. Five days are over and now back on the road north west we are going to visit some more national parks Death Valley is first on the list.
